Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an ALDI Cashier, you provide fast, accurate, and friendly front-end checkout service to ensure a seamless end to the customer’s shopping trip.
- High-Speed Item Scanning & Checkout: Scan customer merchandise rapidly at ergonomic register stations while maintaining high scanning accuracy rates and proper product handling.
- Payment Processing & Cash Handling: Process monetary transactions accurately, handling cash payments, tendered change, electronic payments, gift cards, and coupons securely while balancing cash drawers at shift close.
- Front-End Maintenance & Customer Assistance: Greet shoppers warmly, answer basic product inquiries, keep checkout lanes sanitized, and manage shopping cart returns during floor lulls.
