Role Overview & Responsibilities

As an ALDI Class A CDL Truck Driver, you run scheduled regional delivery routes between an ALDI distribution center and a fixed set of store locations — conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, delivering loaded trailers on schedule, and completing all required delivery documentation with full compliance to DOT hours-of-service regulations.

• Scheduled Regional Route Delivery: Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on an assigned regional route between the distribution center and a fixed rotation of ALDI stores, delivering each load within its scheduled arrival window and coordinating with the store's receiving team to unload without delay.
• Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Vehicle Inspection: Conduct a complete DOT-compliant pre-trip inspection before every route — checking brakes, tires, lights, and trailer coupling — and complete an equally thorough post-trip inspection at route end, documenting any mechanical issue immediately so maintenance can address it before the vehicle's next scheduled run.
• Hours-of-Service & Delivery Documentation: Log all driving and on-duty time accurately using the electronic logging device to maintain full DOT hours-of-service compliance, and complete all delivery paperwork — bills of lading, store receiving confirmations, and any temperature log requirements — before ending each shift.
