Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an ALDI Forklift Operator, you move palletized product throughout the distribution center — transferring inbound pallets from receiving into storage racking, replenishing pick zones, and staging completed pallets at the correct outbound dock door.
- Pallet Transfer & Put-Away: Move inbound pallets from the receiving dock into the correct storage rack location using the warehouse management system's slotting instructions, scanning each pallet and rack location to confirm placement accuracy before releasing it back into inventory.
- Pick Zone Replenishment: Monitor pick zone inventory levels throughout the shift and replenish low or empty slots from bulk storage before a selector runs out of product, prioritizing fast-moving items flagged on the replenishment report.
- Safe Equipment Operation: Operate the forklift within posted speed limits and load capacity ratings at all times, complete the required pre-shift equipment inspection checklist, and report any mechanical issue to maintenance immediately rather than continuing to operate a flagged unit.
